CrossfireX with AMD R9 270x and AMD HD 4890

Well, to be straight to the point can you crossfire these graphics cards? If not is there any point in me keeping a second graphics card in my computer or should I just remove it?

You cant Xfire them to begin with, they have to be the same base card, such as 270 and 270, 7950 and 7950, 4890 with 4890.
So you are going to have to go with the single card, 270, which I recommend single cards over Xfire anyway.
