Hi,

I bought a Corsair 750w PSU from scan about 3 months ago. I have had no problems with it - until this week.

Turned my computer, to find that I couldn't. Lights on the Mobo, but couldn't turn the machine on. Took the machine apart thinking it was the New RAM that I have just installed. Nope. Re-assembled the machine, and powered it on (just to make sure) and it powered on fine! Plain Weird...

This morning, turned my machine on. Again same problem. Nothing has changed - no extra peripherals plugged in.

Once the machine is turned on then it works fine - it just won't turn on unless it wants to! :-)

I know that it isn't the Board, as I plugged in another PSU and it worked perfectly first time! Do I therefore return the PSU as being faulty? Is there a diagnostic that I can run to check that it is the PSU and it isn't just a one off thing.

Virtual beer on this one guys (and girls) :-)

Thanks,

Pretty simple. If it works correctly with another PSU, it has to either be the PSU or something not connected correctly like maybe you didn't "quite" have the atx or cpu connector fully engaged.
