Nvidia GT 640 1GB DDR5 or Radeon R7 240 1GB DDR5?

Hello Friends.!

I am planning to buy a cheap graphics card.I did some research and finally got into two cards,both having same price;the Nvidia Gt 640 1GB DDR5 and Radeon R7 240 1GB DDR5.

GT 640- 1046 MHz (64 bit)
R7 240- 780 MHz (128-bit) (Mantle).

Does 128 bit cards performs well than 64 bit card?Whats the difference between them?

Core i3-4130 (x2, 3.4 GHz)
8 GB DDR3 (2x4GB), (1600 MHz)
500 GB HDD.

in ati u will get 320 x Stream Processors but in nvidia u will get 384 cuda cores musch faster i think and ati card low on power consumption

Basically, Both are nearly same.. but if i have to choose between them I would say R7 240 DDR5 is better than GT 640 DDR5, R7 consumes less power (30w) less noise and its raw performance is better than GT 640 DDR5
