Okay so I just installed my new 120mm Coolermaster green LED fans, and holy hell are they noisy. They're 2000RPM so I don't know if that's supposed to be noisy or not but, it is. I mean it's just a clean noise, sounds of air blowing out. And it's sort of loud enough that I can't hear the hard drive clicking over it, which was the loudest thing in my system until this, and I'll doubt if I'll be able to hear my GPU, even when it's fans are going fast. Anyway, they're plugged into my power supply because it seems they weren't intended to be plugged into a mobo. The cables to the fans are very short and the 3 pin connectors come with a molex adapter. So I've got molex adapters plugged into my fans, and then those molex plugged into a multiple molex cable that comes with the PSU. There is an end on the molex cable as well which is a 3 pin plug but not sure what that's for. Anyway yeah I could really do with less noise. Thanks.

you have one of three choices
1) get a speed controller for your fans
2) replace the fans with something in the 1000 rpm (or under) range
3) keep the fans as is

realize the vast majority of fans are only made by a handful of companies (like most other PC hardware) and Cooler Master is simply a brand. All 2000 rpm will make noise, some a but more and some a bit less.
