Smart TV as PC monitor - graphics card

Hello, I'm planning on purchasing a new desktop and I'm planning on using my Samsung Smart TV as a monitor. The graphics would be AMD Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256bit. Is that a good idea? Will that work?

Yes it will work. Should be just like a monitor and the 270x can produce PS4 type graphics.
