After searching reviews, websites, and products I am overwhelmed!

I am setting up a home office with two workstations, one to be used by a college student and the other for personal use. I'm in the market to buy a printer and would like some suggestions. It seems that any product I find the only reviews are from those that have had problems, it appears that the happy campers never come back to report how good the printer is. (Typical internet problem.)

Here's my list of must-have's:

Color laser printer. The prints need to be high quality and most of the inkjet printers I've used are total garbage. Unable to do B&W only printers.

Network printing (Ethernet preferred since I'll be setting up on a print server, but USB or WiFi works too)

Duplex printing. The college student will be printing a lot of double sided pages, so duplex printing is a must.

Reputable company. I've used Xerox and Ricoh at my work and have become accustom to having good technical support when you need it. If I'm going to spend some money, I want to get something that is dependable.

A few things that would be cool to have but not needed:

Copy and Scan-to-email. Don't really need them, but would like to have them.

If it can make me bacon in the morning. Or coffee.

Things I don't need/don't care about:
Fax, print from USB/SD card, internet printing. I'll never use these.

Price range: I'd like to keep it under $300, but flexible.

So, tell me your suggestions on laser printers you've used. Any to suggest or any to stay away from? I've been mostly searching on Amazon, so any other online retailers you'd suggest? Will you just buy one for me so I don't have to decide? At this point, I'm desperate.

Thanks in advance!
