Looking for low budget, fanless GPU to power higher-res screen

I'd like to upgrade my monitor (currently an old 26" 720p TV) to something sharper. I'm looking very seriously at the LG 29um65 (2560x1080), as it seems to offer a good bang-for-the-buck. Unfortunately, I have an MSI 880GM-E35 mobo with a built-in ATI HD 4250 graphics chip. The output is apparently limited to 1080p output.

So I need a graphics card, preferably fanless, that can power the display. The computer isn't use for gaming, so I'm really just looking for something reasonably priced (<$100) that can output a higher resolution than 1080p.

Any suggestions?

Total OVERKILL since any modern card will suffice. Need DISPLAYPORT or Dual-Link DVI for above 1920x1200.

*I'm not a big fan of the 21x9 resolution (2560x1440) so be sure that's what you want. Since it's WIDER than 16x9 you'll get black bars on the left and right for most video, plus it's not ideal for web pages.

It's okay if you want two programs side by side. Another option would be TWO 1920x1080 monitors.

Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to use two monitors, and I'm limited on my selection because I need speakers (no place to put speakers). The LG apparently has decent enough speakers for my purposes while also having good image quality. I'm losing about 1" in vertical space, but I don't think it's that big of a deal.

These are my requirements for a monitor, though. If you have some suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
- Budget: ~$350
- Resolution: 1920x1080 minimum
- Size: ~26". I'd rather not go down to 23" or up to 32"
- VESA mountable
- IPS preferred because of the viewing angles
- Decent warranty/customer support
- Built in speakers.

I'm aware of the amazing Korean monitors you can get for great prices, but they look like such a dice roll.

SPEAKERS:

You're going to have to use HDMI to get audio likely. There are some solutions that allow DisplayPort to handle that, but both the card and monitor would need to support that.

If you use HDMI you already have a working solution with the onboard video.

(I can't understand how you'd have no room for speakers as you can put them right behind the monitor if you want. Even $20 speakers would be far better than built-in ones.)

*The RESPONSE TIME on that LG monitor is horrible. It's 14ms. The higher it is the more GHOSTING you get watching video. I still see some at 6ms.

THIS might be a better monitor for the same price if you still want that resolution:

TN and viewing angle:
While IPS is better, my dad's got an older Sony TN-panel and I really don't notice the viewing angle at all. There are some really great 1920x1080 monitors for a lot less money. I know you said you weren't interested but for $140 you can get this:

*Your onboard VIDEO might support up to 2560x1600.

It has a dual-link DVI output. If you think it suits your needs then perhaps try that first.

Onboard video will however use some of your System RAM and a card like the HD5450/HD6450 has hardware video decoding which helps a lot (i.e. K-Lite Standard with WMPC-HC) if your CPU isn't powerful enough for HD video and causes stuttering.
