Building a new reliable HTPC to see me into the future. I might do some light gaming on it after I get a video card. Looking to keep it silent as it will be in the bedroom. Any comments or insights would be appreciated!

Admirable
That is one hell of a nice build though I would suggest getting a normal SSD and just save the money or spend it on a more powerful graphics card, as the m2 SSD is a total waste for what you are doing with the machine as you won't see any/ so little difference in boot up times that there isn't any point

Samsung 840 EVO 250gb will cost $139 here. One strange thing about this country is that even though Samsung products are made here, they don't sell them any cheaper (often it costs more--especially TVs).
