I think it is all compatible but I am not sure, and would like to know before ordering.
Also is there anything I could do here to save a few quid as I still have to get myself a 1440p monitor and a suitable mouse to go with this system.
Also is the 212 Evo going to cut it in a case like the R4 with noise reduction material keeping in some excess heat?
Any thought and help are much appreciated.

The Xeon E3 1230v3 can't be overclocked so you won't need a CPU cooler, the stock one is sufficient (you can get one if you feel the stock cooler will be too loud).

Z87/Z97 mobos are typically for overclocking also, the H87/H97 mobos are typically what I recommend for the E3s unless you plan on SLI/CF in the future which would require a Z87/Z97 mobo.

Changed the PSU, the EVGA Nex PSUs are ok but not amazing quality, the seasonic is a much better PSU.

Changed the GPU to a r9 290, it is a much better deal than the 4gb 770 unless you are particular about getting a Nvidia card or absolutely must have Physx.

FYI I believe the Quickfire doesn't have a number pad so keep that in mind if it is something you use/need.

I went with the Nvidia 770 mainly as this will be used for 3D rendering and I always hear nvidia cards are far better for tasks like this.
AS for the power supply, the EVGA was gold rated, where as the sea sonic is bronze. I would have thought gold was the better option? if so what is it that makes the seasonic the better choice?
not big on a number pad no.
Did not know that about the motherboard, will help shave a few quid.
Thanks for the help

The difference between the Seasonic and the EVGA NEX is the build quality/component quality. The bronze/gold ratings are only efficiency ratings (from wall to PSU) and do not always have a direct correlation to build quality. If you wanted a Gold rated PSU then the EVGA Supernova G2 are probably the most affordable, high quality choice right now (EVGA changed the supplier between the NEX and the G2 versions for the better).

Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£80.76 @ Amazon UK)

The choice between Nvidia and AMD for rendering is heavily dependent on what software you are using, AMD performs better on some functions and Nvidia on others. If your software utilizes CUDA cores then Nvidia is the way to go.

Thanks for that, i like that PSU.
Yh i will be making use of CUDA, although I may put off buying this build until i see what is released in october from Nvidia.
