If you are getting intel core i7 4930k i'd put in 4x4 RAM sticks instead of 2x8,to utilize full performance of i7 4930k. FYI soon will i7 5xxx series come out,why not wait for it and wait for DDR4 RAM sticks, it should come out any time soon.If i had so much money i'd wait for i7 5xxx series and DDR4 RAM. Your choice.

I would love to wait but, I dont think I would have that much money for them. When I say budget of 5k it means pretty much that and the screen Im getting haha. A question for the motherboard what do you think of, Asus Sabertooth X79 ATX LGA2011 Motherboard and ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark1 Motherboard?

ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark1 Motherboard is socket LGA1150 which means it wont support your CPU:
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_Z97_MARK_1/
With that being said i suggest you get Asus Sabertooth X79 ATX LGA2011 Motherboard
Or if you'd like me to see some other MoBos for you. :)
Ok then, but i really suggest you get 4 RAM sticks for your CPU,becouse it really is meant to work with 4 RAM sticks. That way you will utilize the most of your CPU.
Here to help ^^.

Thanks a million, yeah I was thinking about doing that anyway, so I will now :) and about the motherboard, I was wondering why my mate said stay away from Z97 haha

It actually a great help if you could list some other MoBo's for me :)

X79 is old, I would either wait for x99 or get Z97. Since it's for gaming it won't really utilise 6 cores in a lot of situations so i'd probably just get z97. Are you getting a 4k or triple monitors? How much of the budget is the monitor/s taking up. You need to provide us with as much info as possible in order to get the best advise.

But isn't the Z97 1150 socket? My CPU is a 2011. the monitor is ASUS PB287Q 28in 4K UHD Monitor which is around $800 so the total comes around $4750

Yes the Z97 is 1150, which is why I was talking about the need for six cores (2011) or not. 2011 is made for workstations, it's really not needed for gaming. Also if you are running a 4k monitor you will want at least 2 GPUs. Here is a build I just put together. You can get the same performance on a cheaper build but the quality of the parts will be slightly reduced. This won't really effect anything, I just used top of the line parts in this build.

Those are the lowest prices in America, he might be buying in his local store, not over the internet. And you are right about need for the second GPU at that resolution but that might get over his budget. Dont forget to change your RAM sticks to 4x4 (if you want 16GB). He might want future-proof build and i get it, if i would have given so much money into my computer i would want to play all of the next gen. games on ultra with that build. And as the games are developing blazingly fast,6 cores will be needed eventually.

Yes,you can eventually upgrade, but 4k resolution is a lot of pixels to render and i havent read the review for GTX 780 ti on 4k resolution and i will now :D and i will tell you. But if you dont get the second one you will probably or most likely be playing on low, maximum medium quality picture and at ~30 frames if i am right. NOT SURE but will tell you after i read the review and benchmarks.

I'd recommend some 2560x1080p or 2560x1440p or even 1920x1080p and if possible get 120Hz gaming monitor or 60Hz if you are regular gamer, but with that GPU maybe 120Hz. If you'd like to see them ill post some links.

Here is a list of 120Hz and 144Hz (not big of a difference):
http://www.blurbusters.com/faq/120hz-monitors/
In this link up here, there are mainly 1920x1080p monitors :(
There is also this 120Hz monitor but it is priced $800+ (and more, depends on your country and seller)
http://www.anandtech.com/show/7627/asus-at-ces-2014
Unfortunately maybe this ROG SWIFT PG278Q is the only 2560x1400p 120Hz monitor, others are 60Hz i think and if you dont wanna any of these up here i will post them.
