Hello guys. 2 days ago I bought my new pc with gtx 780 and AOC i2769vm 27" Ips Led 1080p 60hz monitor. And like after 5 minutes using it I was having eye strain. After 30 minutes - headache. LAter even sinus tingling. I tried pushing it further away. Currently there is more than 1meter (40 inches) distance between me and the monitor. It didnt't help. Lowered brightness and contrast - nothing. Installed flux - a lil better, but still terrible. Changed windows 8.1 themes to dark ones. Nothing. Increased text size - no changes. Today was 2nd day of using it. I played watch dogs for 1 hour. And now I feel like drunk. My head is spinning when I walk, eyes hurt. I think this monitor is making me blind. Lol.

I am using iphone 5s and ipad 4 everyday with no issues. Reading text is pleasurable on them. While I cant read a single article on my new Aoc monitor. Too painful.

Previously I have used Acer V3-771g laptop, it had 17.3" (1600 x 900) Acer CineCrystal LED-backlit HD+. I had zero issues.

What do you think? Is that 60hz that causes issues? Maybe I should sell my monitor and get 24" with 120 hz?

In all honesty i dont think 60hz vs 120hz will make it better or worse. I just purchased a benq monitor a second one but different model then my current one, i have it angled differently since i bought a monitor mount it cant have it angled as much as i did befor and im experiencing eye strain and headaches too. I think its something you have to get used to.

You should try changing some of the desktop resolution and quality settings, but if that doesn't work, you should probably get rid of that monitor.
