Need help with first time build

This is my first build and I'm looking for some advice on whether or not I should go with some of the parts I've come up with. Most specifically the Asus Z97-A MOBO, SeaSonic 750W 80+ PSU and the Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM HDD.

I know the 750w PSU is a bit overkill for just the single gtx770 GPU but I want to be able to SLI in the next few years without having to upgrade my PSU. If you have any advice or bad experiences with any of the parts I've compiled please let me know. I'm looking forward to start ordering stuff here soon.

What's the reason behind switching to the MSI? The only real differences I see are the chipset and a couple of connections.
