Help!! Monitor loses signal for a while after Windows logo

Hi all,

Recently my custom built desktop has been behaving strangely. Every time when I turn it on, all goes well until after the Windows logo screen. At that point, the screen goes blank, and the monitor displays that there is no DVI signal. Sometimes this takes a few seconds, sometimes 10s, before going to Windows. When there is no signal, I hear a sudden high pitched sound from my computer (I can't seem to locate it, but presume its from the gpu?).

This hasn't happened before and I really want to fix it. I own a GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr 2, updated to the latest drivers (340.52).

If this is the first time it happens after you updated the driver, then Try to roll back your driver.
If this doesn't work then try your standard VGA port (the one located on your MB) with standard vga cable and remove your VGA card, see what happens , if the sound or the blank screen continues then try another monitor to make sure the problem is in your computer.
