How does warranty for computer parts work?

After building my gaming pc, I am still unsure how to claim warranty if any part breaks down. I am looking to give it to someone, but I don't want them to see how much the pc cost, so I don't want to give them the receipts. How would they claim warranty?

exactly. warranty claims require proof of purchase (the receipt).

if you did not want to hand over the receipt then you would personally have to handle the warranty issues yourself in their stead.
