I just built 2 office computers, but when i went to boot i had no video and no post. After connecting the speaker to the mobo i realized it was a memory issue. I tried swapping out all the ram and none of them were recognized. I used my own RAM as a test and that alleviated the issue. I've built many computers before but im dumbfounded as to what the issue is; it cant be that all sticks were faulty right?

Can someone take a look at my Mobo's and RAM and possibly tell me why they didnt work with eachother (assuming it was not faulty RAM).

Mobo1: BIOSTAR H61MGV3 (LINK)

Mobo2: ASRock Z75 Pro3 (LINK)

RAM: 8GB (2X4GB) MEMORY 512X72 PC3-10600 1333 (LINK)

I have no idea why this combination didnt work; unless the RAM was defective. Any ideas, so I dont repeat this mistake?

The RAM you bought is ECC Registered RAM. This type of RAM is generally used for servers and sometimes workstations, and is not compatible with the motherboards you linked to as far as I can tell.

You'd have to switch it out for non-Registered, non-ECC RAM.

EDIT: Also, because I'm childish, I really want that BIOSTAR Mobo because the packaging looks like a box of Legos :D
