What does game mode do in my monitor ?

Hello guys , my new rig is working perfectly , and my monitor is 23.6" PLS LED Samsung monitor ( model : S24D390HL ) , and it comes with some touch buttons and one of them is "Game Mode" , what does that do ?

( when i enable it , the colors seem .....has more light in it , dunno how to describe it but it seems better )

It basically changes into a high performance monitor. This means, it uses more energy, however it is better for gaming as you can see dark spots, little objects, etc.
