4gb Memory Card Out of Storage cannot format

Can somebody help me how to format my 4gb memory card? When i insert it on my PC it says "memory card is not formatted. do you want to format it now" and then i click yes but it still won't format. When i tried to format it on my phone it was formatted but it still out of storage. the files was deleted but the space is still full. Please help me to solve this don't snob me

The pen drive has come to the end of it's life. Throw it away and buy a new one.

maybe its a virus. last year my 1tb hdd had the same problem ,it was virus that time,and got it fixed scanning it
