So i was wondering if I should get a single gtx 880 (when it comes out) or 2 gtx 770's in sli? I will be using a triple monitor setup. Also i dont want to spend any more than $600 on my graphics. Im used to console gaming. This is for my upcoming build. I've started ordering parts but I'm not sure what I should do for my GPU. Its going to have a 4790k on the Asus Z97 Deluxe. I'm thinking about using 3 Asus VN247H-P. (I don't want to spend too much on triple monitors as it is my first build). I will mostly be playing FPS.

There is no reason to be a fanboy. 2 290s will dominate a single GTX 880 and SLI 770s. There is no way a single GTX 880 will beat 2 290s as a single 290 already performs equal to or greater than a 780 and an 880 will not be as powerful as SLI 780s

Also, I will be okay with one gtx 880 if three monitors will work. If the gaming is too laggy I will just use one and possibly get a second gtx 880 in sli idk when. I would prefer one 880 or two 760 ftw because those are more affordable. I want to get my card(s) asap. I'll only wait for the gtx 880. Also I want nvidia because I may or may not hackintosh (; .
