I currently own an old style Xbox360 Wireless Headset and have tried using it on my PC, but I am running into an issue that it is picking up a terrible amount of background noise, even when turning the slider almost all the way down in Windows. I notice there are also no settings for it to use noise reduction like my Turtle Beach headset. When I use it on the 360 though (sitting in the same chair and with the same speakers) this does not happen, which leads me to believe it has some kind of filtering that it does. The room has a fair amount of noise that I cannot get rid of (window unit AC).

Since I cannot eliminate the noise, and the Turtle Beach are too tight for long gaming sessions, I have been looking into getting a bluetooth headset that has built in noise reduction, plus I can pair it to my phone. Namely the Plantronics M165 or Motorola HX550. Has anyone used either of these headsets (through cell or PC) or know which provides superior noise reduction? And have you tried using either for a similar purpose?

Lol yeah even a 10 dollar headset is better than xbox headset I think. I have some experience with steelseries and razer headsets (Siberia ($65) and Megalodon ($120) respectively) I prefer the steelseries tbh its better made and uses less load from your PC's USB Adapter. There are also other 'western' brands like CoolerMaster, Corsair, Creative, etc.

You can also try your luck with "Chinese" brands e.g E-Blue but they might not be 'reliable'.

P.S The megalodon uses so much load to the point that you most likely will need a POWERED usb port. Razer products aren't really good. They're just fancy looking, I think.
