I can't agree that lack of a touch screen makes navigating controls "cumbersome." The camera has a right hand grip. Most right handed people poke touch screens with their right index finger -- exactly like one of the pictures above seems to indicate. Is anyone suggesting that swapping the camera to the left hand so the right can poke through controls is elegant? On a camera with as elegant a user interface as Pentax, and with K-S1 actually reducing the number of buttons on the back from 8 or 10 to 5 (aside from the 4-way control with a center OK as found on nearly all cameras from any maker), touch screen is 100 percent unnecessary. Swipe through your playback, maybe, but even that isn't needed.
