I am building my second pc. This time unlike last time i am intrested in a crossfire setup and would like to know if the 650 80+ gold is capable of running the 7870 silent cards in 2 way crossfire.

No. Those 2 cards will take 600 W, on their on.

You need a PSU that can provide a little more power, just as Slobodan-888 said, they consume 600W on their own, and then you have to put into consideration that your CPU also consumes quite a bit as well, not to mention the other components. It'd be safer to buy a 750W PSU.
