I'm currently looking to improve the productivity of our departmental transcriptionists who are often over-whelmed with medical dictations. Lately, our physicians have started using the Philips mobile dictation app to transfer dictated files to the transcriptionist via secure service (dictation hub), however, I noticed that the latest version of Dragon "Professional", in conjunction with Philips Spec Exec Pro, can convert audio to text. Another plus is that the transcriptionist can listen to the audio file after the program "transcribes" the document in order to proof read any possible errors.
Sounds to good to be true to me, thus is the reason for this post. Has anyone had an experience with the audio file to text technology?
