Hey I'm close to finalizing this parts list for my first build. Does anyone see issues with it or improvements I can make? I'll be gaming & video editing, keeping it under $700 not including monitor/keyboard/mouse. Thanks any info would really help!

Switch to 2x4gb of RAM, it'll run slightly faster in dual channel than a single stick in single channel.

Other than that, I think you've got a very good parts list there. Personally I'd be inclined to go intel, but you've chosen a very good value setup. That 970 board in particular should get a decent 4.5GHz overclock at least with that 8320 (should you want to get an aftermarket CPU cooler).

Looks good!

I made a few adjustments:

I switched your power supply out to a better quality unit.
I added a cooler for your CPU because the FX8320 can get hot.
I switched your case out to one that can hold the cpu cooler I suggested lol
I swapped your ram out for (2) 4GB sticks as this will run in duel channel and be faster for you.

EDIT: oh yes and I upgraded your OS to the Windows pro. this is optional. the Home version is fine but you cant add more then 16GB of RAM with that OS. if you never plan to have more then 16GB then by all means save $40 and get the home version
