Is F@H clustering possible, and efficient vs individual F@H clients?

Hello THW!
I am posting here for ideas and leads on a little project I'd love to try out... I am currently taking Linux administration classes at my local college, and need to present a "final project" demonstrating linux server capabilities and administration. My tentative project idea (knowing that my teacher is a fan of novel cluster applications) is to create a PXE boot server which will cluster together multiple Folding at Home applications in our CIS computer lab. The lab itself has about 45 computers which are defaulted for PXE or hotswap SATA. They're all running i5 procs, 4GB of RAM and a GTX210. I do have permission to run whatever I'd like on as many computers in the lab as I'd like. It's all connected via gigabit and has an un-throttled T5 tap through the school.

Is it possible to run them all clustered together for a ginormous box/time score? I'm looking at using Fedora for hosting the server (class requirement) which is an i7, dual g-bit and an attached RAID bank.

What kind of linux distros would work best on the client side, and does anyone know if F@H has a software solution for clustering? I have some time to work on this, but figured I'd see if anyone here has tried anything like this before?
