Hi I was just trying to use this site to generate a steam signature that displays what I'm doing on steam and various other things. Has this ever been previously discussed or does the forum's BBcode API version just not support it? Is such a thing even permitted? I don't see it being considered abuse or commercial advertisement. Here is the BBcode if you were wanting to see an example:

  1. [urlExt=http://steamcommunity.com/id/baseddovah][img]http://steamsigmaker.de/komedy/baseddovah.png[/img][/urlExt]

The version of the signature I'm using is 400 x 75 and fits within the forums rule's about banners. Any answers are welcome.

The [ urlExt ] tag is not supported.

Thanks for the quick simple answer :)  Any idea if it ever will be added in? I would like to see it but there probably isn't a very high demand for it. Also sorry to interrupt you while you're reading the Haswell-E review :p

If it's even on the dev's list it would be at the lowest priority.

I just looked it up and looked at the source from the website itself and saw that the Ext isn't even apart of the code. I'm not quite sure where the Ext part came from. It might have come from using the [ code ] tag.

The Ext part did come from the usage of the [ code ] tag as shown here. In the actual generated signature which I copied straight from the site does not include it.

agreed. for image links they should be:

  1. [urlExt=http://steamcommunity.com/id/baseddovah][img]http://steamsigmaker.de/komedy/baseddovah.png[/img][/urlExt]

tomshardware treats all user links as external anyways so they will open up in a new tab by default (or should anyways).
