I am trying to restore user files on a server that has been backed up with ntbackup.

I've copied the bkf file over to an external hard drive and I was going to restore to the external hard drive first.

The only thing is that the last full backup was done over 3 months ago. Since then there have been 90 or so daily (no incremental) backups.

Do I have to restore the full back up and then restore each daily backup one at a time (just like incrementals)? Or can restore the full backup and then select all of the dailies and restore them at one time?

Any help would be much appreciated. thanks

To me a non-incremental daily would be all updated files since the last full backup, so I would just load those two (last full then the last daily)

but it really depends on what your daily was configured to backup.

Thanks for your repl popatim. I've started restoring each daily. When I restore he full and the last daily backup only I loose all of the changes made to the files in between. Long process for restore
