Evga FTW edition 750ti 2gb vs Gtx 480!

^like said above, the 480 is still a fairly powerful card for being as old as it is. no doubt it runs hotter and definitely consumes much more power, but it is still faster than the 750ti. you would be better off with a gtx660 or an r9-270 as they would be able to actually give you a bump in speed. but for now you should just wait a few months longer so nvidia can fully release its gtx 800 series and there will likely be an 800 series that compares to the gtx760 at a very nice price point.

what cpu do you have?

you still have a good processor. any sandy bridge or later quad core, no matter the model or clock speed, is going to give you relatively the same gaming performance. there is no need to upgrade your cpu, unless you have other non gaming tasks that you would like more performance in. otherwise just keep your eyes out for the nvidia new in the following weeks regarding their new gpu line and you will also see prices drop on current available cards.
