Which graphics card would be best for me? Nvidia or ATI?

I want to buy a graphics card. I m not a professional gamer, just want to run high resolution games like GTA 4, Call of Duty 4, Sleeping Dog etc etc. My budget is Rs. 3000/- So, can u guys pls suggest which graphics card will be better for me? Nvidia or ATI ?

PSU : 450 watt
Monitor : 17" LCD 1366 x 768

Ati will eat your power and nvidia is low power consuming and get dx 11 card if u dontu cant play watch dogs in it

Nvidia and you my need to look in a higher PSU: like around a 500 or 600

You don't need a new PSU. 450 W is more than sufficient. But you really need to raise your budget. You could buy the GT 630 for around Rs.3500.

yeh ... i m going for Nvidia .... and yes I heard about GT 630 from some of my college friends ...this is much better for low budget, so I m thinking about it.

I have two R9 280x's and I haven't had a problem with them at all. I came from GTX 750ti, then I got a GTX 660ti, still wasn't satisfied with the performance they were giving me, I bought an R9 280x, I was so happy I had to buy another one haha. But yeah, they eat a lot of power, but the price to performance is just outstanding. I bought my cards for $289.94 USD. That's including shipping and handling.
