Now that Haswell-E has finally been released, which CPU should I get for games: 5820k or 4690k? Most of the games I play run well on my laptop and am looking to build my own PC. However, I do play a lot of World of Tanks; which may or may not be relatively CPU intensive. Is it worth if for that one game?

Get a 4690k. A 5820k is a waste of money for World of Tanks.

World of tanks relies mostly in only one core, and barely uses other two or three, so you'll not use the extra threads on the 5820k. Go for the 4690k.

Recommended is an i5 3330. Save your money, go with an i5 4590, an H97 board and use those saving towards your GPU.
