What happened to all the G-Sync Monitors coming out in 2014?

I remember reading all over about new Asus and BenQ G-Sync enabled monitors coming out not only this year, but the first half of this year. What happened? I've been meaning to buy a monitor for a while now and have been waiting for G-Sync because of the immaculate praise it gets, but the only thing out is still modded ASUS VG248QE's. I've been holding back buying one because 500 bucks is pretty steep for a monitor for me, especially when I read about ASUS coming out with a $400 G-Sync monitor. I figure if it's a month late, then its got to be out soon, but I've been saying that for four months now unfortunately.

So TL;DR: Has anyone heard about G-Sync enabled monitors coming out anytime soon? I'd love to buy one.

I think they said all monitors have to go to Nvidia first to be set up by Nvidia.

There's the Asus ROG Swift, though it seems to be out of stock on Newegg right now. Plus it's even more expensive.

Yes I have seen the Swift, and yes its even farther out of my price range at around $700-$800 bucks. Not only that, but I feel that a 27" monitor would be a little to big for me, though I've never used one myself so I could be wrong.
