This is going to be my first PC build and I am wondering if these are good parts. I am mostly going to use it for gaming and maybe a tiny bit of video editing. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Also I would like some advice on overclocking as I am trying to decide if I should

That's a very solid build, I really don't have any issues with it.
It's balanced, you actually picked a good PSU (lots of people screw up with the PSU), great motherboard, etc.

This build is so overkill for what its for. If you're not doing intensive editing and rendering then 8 gb of ram is fine. You can also find a motherboard for around 70 dollars less and you wouldn't notice the difference in performance. Also, unless you plan on overclocking the 4670k past 4.2-4.4 ghz then you've wasted more money on that CPU cooler. A cooler master 212 evo will be more than adequate, and it's only 25 dollars. If you make these changes then you can put more money into your GPU and get a gtx 780 or perhaps a r9 290x. That's what I would do anyway.

This is what I would go for. One other thing I changed is the monitor - this one is 144hz which is a must in order to get the most out of the gtx 780.
