Could I dig a ground pole into a basement's floor to create an electrical ground?

I'm working at a shop as PC repair tech. It's a basement that has no grounding (sockets have only 2 wires in all sockets).

Since it's a ground floor I'm thinking of telling my boss (who doesn't want to spend money on this, unless it's little money) to simply dig a thick metal pole and connecting the ground in the socket that I'd work with.

I know this would be a bit sloppy, but it looks kind of easy to do.

This is in Madrid (Spain), where we use 220v.

Thanks.

Sort of. Generally, the best place for a ground stick is in an area that stays quite wet. A basement might not be this.

Threaded steel rod, about 1.5m of, is the usual solution. Clamp a lug between two nuts.
