My experience with Corsair India warranty

This is how I experienced the Corsair service in India today :) 

My sister had a defective vengeance 8GB 1600mhz RAM. The system would give blue screen (MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL etc.)randomly, specially when the memory use is high. After troubleshooting I found it's the RAM (All hail
Memtest86). I have an identical RAM, so I exchanged my RAM with her a few days ago. I can claim service more easily than her.

Today I went to the service center. Actually I was meeting a couple of old friends and I suddenly I remembered that the service center is very near to the place I am going. So I grabbed the piece of RAM and ran.

I reached a bit early and went to the service center. It's in an old gloomy building, from the colonial era. I have to reach the third floor, and while I am climbing the stairs I felt like Leonidas going to the Thermopylae. I steeled my
mind for a bitter battle and resolved to fight like a cornered cat for my RAM and went to the Corsair office.

The man there asked me what is the purpose of my visit. I showed him the RAM and explained my problem, and composed my mind for the fight that's about to begin.

The man took the RAM from my hand and checked something in his computer. Then asked for my name, address, ph.no and email. I gave it to him. He printed out a paper and told me he has to check if he has it in stock. Would I wait or like
to call and check later. I said I will be back after a couple hours. He gave me the piece of paper. Looking at it I saw its the RMA slip!!


I met my friends and after a couple hours of chatting and plates of wonderful biriyani that is found in the dusty narrow streets of my old city, I was back to the center again. I produced the slip and the man handed over a piece of brand new sealed pack of vengeance RAM. I was too shocked to talk. I thanked him and got back home. Installed the RAM, run memtest for a few passes and all is good.

So this is a post to applause Corsair service. This is the first corsair product I found faulty, and after the service I got today I will buy anything Corsair with my eyes closed. Corsair won a loyal customer today. I have bad experience with many company's service whose representatives are under the firm believe, it's not their product but the fool using it is faulty. But not Corsair.
