after 2 WD HDD failing 1st one in less than a year , second one failing before waranty is done by 1 month (11 days left ) , i need a HDD that has military grade endurance that is good for gaming i dont care if its big or small , slow or fast , i just want it to get me the best gaming performance for the next 3 years.
and again iam forced to buy WD's crap drives since hitachi drives are not available in my country . so this time iam thinking purple (would that work on a PC ?) or even red since its designed for 24x7 operation , i was even thinking of a PATA HDD . its making me go crazy , i want the most reliable HDD on market(ssd or hybrid is not an option cause they are less reliable)

People say? Only people who have been unlucky enough to have HDD's with faults occurring, there will always be a percentage of product going bad out of millions sold per year in every manufacturer's brand.
According to vast forum/review/benchmark browsing, these are the top performers.

Personally, I have 4x 250GB in my PC i built in 2004 and they are WD Blue, that PC is still in use and not upgraded anything other than doubling the RAM and keeping it running XP.
So I wouldn't say WD are bad but someone living down the road might have had a WD fail after 1-2years and will forever say they are terrible and never buy WD again

According to extensive data collection;
WD/Seagate have the best in gaming performance of HDD's
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/hdd-charts-2013/-17-PCMark-7-Gaming,2915.html

Hitachi has the best reliability/durability
http://lifehacker.com/the-most-and-least-reliable-hard-drive-brands-1505797966

WD/Seagate have the highest failure rate,

But somehow manage to be the leaders in market share of HDD, possible be bacause they are the most used in test rigs for their performance
...and also because they sell alot more so the percentage of failure would be alot more HDD's than others who sell less
It does state there that Hitachi 500GB models have the best reliability score but that may not be true for 1TB Hitachi(other size models not stated, just specifically the 500GB)

Fact is, it's time to move away from buying mechanical hard drives. SSD have no mechanical parts so would naturally be more reliable, aside from much faster and all the other benefits ofcourse. Also, they haven't been around for many years let alone decades, so reliability in comparison cannot be collected through data equivalent to the period of years of mechanical HDD
