So, my TV that I ordered, the LG Electronics 47LB5900 47-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED TV, http://www.amazon.com/Electronics-47LB5900-47-Inch-1080p-12Hz/forum/Fx3EWDDDQ18KKAH/-/2/ref=cm_cd_ql_psf_ql_next?_encoding=UTF8&asin=B00KVLT0HM&cdAnchor=B00KVLT0HM&cdSort=best

is supported by an HDMI cable, but says that it runs at 120 hz NATIVELY, with an ability to reach 240 through some clearscan thing.

My question is, if I hook up the PC to the TV via HDMI, should I theoretically be able to still have it set to 120 hz? Or will it automatically go to 60, since it is connected to a PC?

'Active' DVI-D or (mini-)Displayport to HDMI 2 ...

It is highly likely that your TV input is HDMI 1.4 -- not HDMI 2, and I'll guess there is no DVI or Displayport input.

It's possible the HDMI 1.4 port could be updated to HDMI 2 via firmware, but I suspect most OEMs will only provide this option for 'fancy' 4K models purchased by early adopters.
