Overheating, but is it too late??

I've been torturing my 7990 recently, often hitting 95+ despite having good airflow in my case and I was wondering if its still worth getting a waterblock to increase the lifetime. This late I'm afraid it might still die within a few months and I do not wish to waste 100+ to install watercooling. Should I just request RMA, and get a 290X as a replacement as the 7990 has reached the end of its lifetime??

As long as you have not actually taken it over the edge many times, such as rebooting/shut off from over temp you should be fine, I've been rocking my gtx 460 for 3 years under said conditions.

also theoretically your 7990 should be better than a 290x
