No need to put in any peripherals, accessories, monitors o
An OS is required. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/AlexPetz/saved/RccgXL

Also the i5 4690k CPU is 30$ cheaper and (supposedly better?) then the i5 4670k CPU. Which should I choose?

The 4690k is what you should get. Overclocking it will also make it an even better CPU. You can get a fair overclock with the parts selected.

This build has a much more reliable PSU and I just had to choose a better case because the SPEC series cases are really horrible unless you HAVE to get them. If you NEED to get the price down, I can swap the case out for a Phantom 240. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TTndMp

Besides what I changed, you are pretty much at the best price point you could be at.

Here is a video about the case I chose for you. the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujH42NYOgbI

The one I selected is black, but it comes in that aluminum gray color too.

Also, it comes with enough fans so no need to worry about that.

If you do not want to overclock, then I would advise the Intel Xeon E3-1231 v3 processor; the Xeon's multiplier is locked hence cannot be overclocked, however it performs similar to the i7-4770. I have included the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU heatsink/fan, however you do not need it; since the Xeon will NOT be overclocked, you do not need additional cooling from the stock Intel heatsink/fan provided. Regardless I have included it anyhow, if you desire an after-market CPU cooler rather than stock Intel.

Apart from that and a few other minor changes, it is relatively similar to your build. Your build costs $1109.18 without mail-in rebates and the above costs $1115.17.

All the best. :)
