I'm looking to buy a new head unit and front speakers and I'd like to know some good websites where I can narrow my search and find what will fit my vehicle and tell me if I need a special wire harness for the new unit to work. I've found one site so far called Sonic Electrix but I have no idea how good or accurate this site is or how good their prices are, so I'd like other sites to compare.

On a side note I found one unit, pyle plbt72g but I'm struggling to find any video reviews of it. Does anyone have any experience with this unit? I wasn't originally planning on something with nav, but if it's good I'll take it. I just don't want to spend that much on something not great, especially since I already have a Garmin. Any info would help!

Thanks in advance!

Do not touch pyle equipment, it's very low quality stuff. Crutchfield is a decent website although you can probably find better prices on ebay or amazon.

I've been a customer of Crutchfield for a long time and have never had an issue with anything they've sold. Yes, they are a bit more expensive than some other places but it's not without reason: completely detailed installation instructions specific to the equipment and your vehicle are included, wiring accessories/connectors are included, and their technical support is top notch. You won't get any of that from Amazon or EBay, so you have to ask yourself if the slight savings you might get from elsewhere is worth it in the end. As the old saying goes, "Buy nice or buy twice."

As for head units, stick to the manufacturers that have been doing mainly that and know what they're doing: Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, and Clarion are just a few highly reputable brands. I've never known Pyle to make anything beyond speakers and amps, so I'd be a bit leery of venturing down the road with a head unit carrying their name. Up to you, but just be forewarned.

Lastly, even if you don't end up buying from Crutchfield, they do make a good point of reference when it comes to very detailed explanations and product reviews.

I use crutchfield as a reference all the time myself. Really easy to find speaker sizes with their site.
