dear all,

I have had my HDDs & SSD on Sata III up until now. 2 weeks ago my WD 1002FAEX failed so I had to replace it. Due to my Motherborad's age I cannot fully exploit the capabilities of my SSD so I now use a Sata III PCIe controller and have my SSD installed there.

The OS is installed on the SSD, and I also have a Hitachi 320gb for archive and user folders, and the new WD 1003FZEX for my data (dailly r/w on the disk).

Hardware:
- intel DX58SO
- Logilink PC0064 - SATA-600 Controller (Marvel 88SE9128)
-----> OCZ-Vertex3 SSD
- SATA 300 - Hitachi 320 GB
- SATA 600 - WD 1003FZEX 1TB

Question: What would be the ideal connection set up for productivity & system stability?

ΟΚ, after some testing I have the following configuration:

1.SATA600 Controller (on pcie x16)
{a. OCZ-Vertex3 SSD
{b/ WD 1003FZEX
2. Hitachi HDD on Sata 3 port on intel DX58SO

here are some SSD results on AA SSD benchmarking:
a) this was my first attempt to have my SSD on the SATA Controller

b) this was my original configuration on the SATA3 on the Motherboard

c)here is the SSD on the SATA controller again, with some tweaks
