Hello, I want to buy a graphics card, I am considering to buy the nVidia GeForce GTX 750 but I don't know if it would be the right one for me. I would use it primary for gaming, I am a linux user, i currently run ubuntu. My mother board is a Gigabyte F2A85x-UP4, And I have 4GB of RAM at 1600. Still Assessins Creed runs kind of slow... Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Budge? Do you want to upgrade your ram first? What do you have for your graphic cards right now? Can I see your build right now?
Please answer those questions first

My budget is around 500 dollars, What do you mean by upgrade? buy some other RAM? or pick other speed? I would not change the bus speed but maybe could buy one other ram. I have no graphics card now. How can you see my build? Sorry have no idea what that means...

Yeah GTX 750 is perfect for you, don't listen to some retards which will offer you 500$ cards, you wont utilize em anyway ,would be a waste ,huge headache and bottleneck for a long long long...long long...long long long time.Sure you can buy another RAM stick too, make sure its the same frequency as your current one!

What about the motherboard compatibility? There is no problem there? The specs say that it supports "1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)" And nvidia web site only sais "PCI Express 3.0" are those compatible/the same?

So, the graphic card can be 400 to 500? (high-end?). You only have 4 ram, which many suggest to have 8. Do you use 2x2 or 4x1 for ram? If 4x1, buy another 4gb ram. You can show your build in pcpartpicker.com and click export/makeup and selected bb code. Then, copy the whole thing to tom's hardware.
