Do you think this is the case for this website?

budgetcomputers.biz

I'm interested in buying a pre-built gaming pc for quite cheap and found this site but I dont know whether to trust it considering the prices are a LOT cheaper then any of the other places I have seen.

Anybody know anything about them?

More about : sounds good true

"Quite cheap" equals what, exactly.

If it is very much cheaper, they are skimping on some parts, somewhere. Those guys do not have a special 'cheap parts source' vs anyone else.
They buy stuff from the same place everyone else does.

If they say "600W PSU!", then it is almost certainly a crap PSU that they obtain for £18. vs a quality 600W PSU that would be £50. (and not blow up and burn your huose down)
Or maybe it is a pirated Windows install that they include.
Or a really cheesy case.

You have to look really, really closely at what they sell. There is no magic 'cheap button'.

i've never heard of them before but they include a phone number and business address as well as being listed clean by scamadvisor so looks to be a legitimate busines.

as far as business practices are concerned that is a harder call. if you read https://www.google.com/search?q=budget+computers+scotla... there are a few happy customers but some note possible shady activities like charging for services not rendered or refusing product replacement.

due to the limited information available i would say it is a mild risk but definitely get a solid receipt. also be sure to check that all items purchased are in fact BNIB.

Quite cheap would be £300-£400. So basically you think they are legit as much as they wont just run off with my money but the product wont be as good as a more reputable shop? Ok I will have a look around a bit more

Right. They buy parts for the same price, from the same places, as everyone else. If cheaper, then they are not telling you the whole story.

Yeah. I'm going to avoid it. Spend a bit more money and get what I pay for. Thanks

They seem to be a mostly legit company. They just prey on the semi-clueless.
However, you have a clue, and you have us.

Good to know, thanks!

Can you recommend any sites to buy from? I am looking for a system to be able to play games like dayz and skyrim on decent settings and be able to record/stream at the same time. That would be the main use. I could probably go a bit above £400 if I had to but would prefer not to.

If you want to build yourself (probably cheaper and better), go here:

Answer the questions and post in Systems.

You're best bet is to build one. I know it seems like a huge decision, but after you order the parts, it's nothing. If you can use a screwdriver and you have both of your hands, as well as a little know-how (which you can get on here), you can easily build a computer. The biggest part is just getting the parts you need and making sure they are compatible (which you can also get from here.. well the compatible part not the actual parts.. I use NewEgg for that).

If you are willing to take this step, just let me know.
