Hey guys! This is my current system and I'm looking for idle power consumption !
First off here's my system:
AMD FX 8350
Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo (stock fan - single fan)
Kingston HyperX Beast 8gb 1600mhz cl9 (2x4gb)
Radeon R9 270x 2GB
Gigabyte 970A-UD3P
128gb Samsung 840 EVO (Boot device)
1TB WD Caviar Black (Storage, Gaming)
500GB WD Caviar Blue (Backup - Rarely used)
Corsair Carbide 300R
2 Standard case fans pre installed
OCZ 650w PSU
http://valid.canardpc.com/zy71ju (shows cl11 - forgot to set it to 9 in BIOS)
As you can see my CPU is throttled to 1.4ghz right now since I used this when not gaming or even for light gaming like league of legends etc..
I would like to know how I would go about calculating the wattage used while my computer is running with my cpu @ 1.4ghz 0.9v and the graphics card idle with cpu usage ranging from 0%-10%. Only the SSD would be in use so both HDDs would be idle.
I just need a very rough estimate and don't really have a clue how to get these numbers... External hardware is out of the question since I'm mostly curious so cant justify buying a Watt Meter for a one time use.
