Hello~

I got a Dell Optilex 755 for almost nothing and want to upgrade it one or two parts at a time to make it a much greater computer.
The thing is though is that it's the ultra-small form factor version of the 755's so it's quite limited as far upgrades. I don't know a whole lot about computers but I was thinking perhaps I could just start with getting it into a larger case and replacing the motherboard? Sort of as a way to allow for further upgrades with less barriers in the near future.
Just wanted to hear the thoughts and recommendations on this since I know so little.

Thanks!

"I was thinking perhaps I could just start with getting it into a larger case and replacing the motherboard?"

Your question makes no sense if you intend to buy a new case and motherboard. The Dell case, motherboard, and probably most of the components would then be redundant anyway, so it's this part of your question which makes no sense:
"I could just start with getting it into a larger case"

So what do you mean by "it"?
