What is best for my use.... 5930k or 5960x...

Which proc to buy ?
I usually stick to the second best i7 proc, as the gap to the top of the line is usually thin, except for pricing. This time around it goes 2 extra cores though...
So I guess I'd better ask you all for your advice...
Main use would be compiling / running DB servers (in dev environment), some Virtual machines and some casual gaming (probably Sims 4 and GTA V when out).

So what would you say, 6 cores or 8 ?

Save yourself $500 and get either the 4930K or the 5930K.
You don't really need the Extreme Edition.Those are made for extreme OCing and extreme multitasking and extreme video editing.

Go with the 5820k. It's just as good as the 5930k if you don't want to run 3 or 4 gpu's.
