I am getting a second hard drive for my pc and using Raid 0. This means if one hdd fails then i loose ALL my data. I would like to get an external hard drive so i can schedule backups onto it so if a hard drive is to fail, i will still have my data. I would also like to backup several other laptops i have just in-case. I would prefer it to be a static hard drive, i have no intenstion for it to be portable. Also the cheaper the better :D

What external hard drive would be the best for me?

Thanks

Hi there Charlie1999,

I would say that 'best hard drive' is hard to define. Pretty much every USB 3.0 hard drive that matches your storage capacity needs will do the job.

The HDD that Maksis suggested you is a good one. Though, you could also check this one: http://wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=870#Tab1
It offers up to 6TB of capacity.
