I was searching up gimp screenshots on google to analyze its interface when I saw a naked picture on the first row of images. You can see it for yourself. Just type gimp on google and navigate to the images section and you will most likely see the image. Is this what people use photoshop for these days? and is it appropriate to put that image on the front page of a search engine?

1)Yes, that may be what some people use that for.
1a) Not me, I'm 14. I'll get in trouble for that. Legal or parental, don't care. My parents would be pissed! And asides, I use Photoshop CS6 cracked.
2)It's not appropriate, but it happens.

Image applications...GIMP, Photoshop, Paint, whatever....can be used to create or manipulate whatever a person wants. Anything and everything.

The particular application, or the developers, do not care, or have any influence over what a user does with it.

Did the stone mason care when he carved out the block of stone that eventually became Venus de Milo? Or David?

There is a reason safe search exists. These days who uses windows xp? Should I mention rule 34?

Why? A pic of a naked/nude/ person is not illegal.

Also, it seems you don't have Safe Search on. If pics of naked people offend you, you might want to turn that on.

If you have filter explicit option on then you can report the result by clicking the image and when the dark grey outline pops up and the image become bigger on the bottom right of the dark grey is an option to give feedback you can report here.

Also yes there are all kinds of people in this world that do different things with different programs so it is possible and highly highly likely that gimp is used for retouch on nude photos.

By the way I searched 'gimp' on google with filter explicit on and the image still popped up of a naked girl inside of the gimp program. I agree USAFRet, but this could also be a parental concern. I certainly wouldn't want my younger family members to see this.

Then for their account on the PC, turn on Safe Search.
Among the many, many other things you should do with a kid's access to the PC.

Agreed, but the image does still show with filter on at least it did for me and I keep filter on (double checked just now as well it's on). In either event problem solved mister grizzly bear.

I just tried it with Safe Search on, and the closest I saw was a baby, or an elf-like girl with butterfly wings.
