need some advice on an upgrade

Hey I need some help here, I have been playing archeage and while im in game I get good fps and no lag, but when I enter a large town and alot of people are around i get low fps, my pc has an i5 3570k, asus r9 280x with 3gb video memore, and 8 gigs of 1866mhz corsair dominator platinum, the game is installed on a samsung evo gt, any idea what would be causing me to lag?

When u say a large town... U mean lots of players in it? Modern GPUs are built to show crisp clear objects..m most stink at showing millions of letters of character names moving around town... Turn off player names and see if it helps. This is a very common issue on nearly every game that has large groups of players in one spot, even worse when the game adds afk animations

I have tried turning off names and even lowered the graphics quality and still get the lag, if you think its the processor then I can try overclocking mine or just get the i7 3770k
