I just finished my first tutorial, which is actually a more detailed and in depth version of the post system specs sticky. (Actually, that's irrelevant to the question anyhow.) I was wondering why it is that previously when I've posted images in a thread using Imgur or Tinypic the image is reduced in scale for viewing in the thread but has the expansion arrows in the lower right corner to expand the image to full size viewing in a new tab or window, but none of the images that were added in the same exact way to my tutorial has the expansion button. Is this a limitation of the tutorial feature or does it have something to do with the changes going on behind the scenes?

Update: After responding to a few previous threads I noticed that even the older posts which had images that at one point were able to be expanded are no longer showing that box with the arrows either, so it's not just the tutorial.

Images over a certain size are automatically resized, otherwise it would likely break parts of the forum. For readability, keep your images to less than 800px wide. :)

Hi CM. I understand that part. My question is that when using the image hosting features in the past the images that were resized had a little box with arrows indicating the image could be expanded to full size in a separate window or tab so a smaller resized image could be used in the post for just the reason you explained. I'm not seeing that now. Older posted images that had that are no longer showing it either.

In other words, small image in the thread, click the box, expand to original size image. Just trying to figure why that feature is apparently gone and if it's a forum issue or an external one.

This may be a browser thing on your end - I don't quite recall this function. I can ask though.

Yeah, I could completely understand that. Except that nothing about my browser environment has changed between the time when the feature was working and now. I dunno. I guess I'll look into it some more on my end. Maybe something with the generation of the image code, except that on older threads that had it which no longer do. Maybe a change at the hosted source.
