I have a Seasonic M12II-620 Bronze which is atx 2.2. After a year or so encountered my first issue, something got fried on my mobo and the PC doesnt turn on. Checked the psu seems it's fine.

My question is , could this have smth to do with the fact that my psu is tx 2.2 and not atx 2.3?

Could I avoid such issues int he future if i change my PSU or this is just a random thing that happened?

I have an AMD 8320 running on the mobo with a gtx 650.

If you people would reccomend smth i would be very thankfull.

Have a nice day.

M12 II 620 should be perfectly fine with 990fx and 8320. I've used the same setup on several builds. It's also plenty for the GPU you have. That being said, sometimes hardware just fails. It happens. Could have been a bad board, drop of solder in the wrong place, bad cap, anything.

Anything can fail at any time, Quality products cannot be ruled out of any equation in the scenario of a failure. I would get the Power supply tested at a repair shop to see, though I am sure it was not the cause.
