I have a problem with some of my wireless devices not seeing wired devices. Here is my network scenario:

- Qwest DSL broadband router(DHCP enabled, wireless radio disabled)
- 3 AP's to handle wireless, (its a large area) (1 Cisco, 2 Netgear) all have DHCP disabled
All have identical SSID/PW, settings
- 48 Port Managed Cisco commercial switch(set up by my brother who is professional IT)
- (5) Pioneer Elite A/V AVR's(wired)
- (5) Dish Network Recievers(wired)
- (5) Apple TV's(3 wired, 2 wireless)
- Multiple Samsung smart TV's(wired)
- Mutliple Iphone's and Ipad's

The problem I am seeing is the connection between the Ipad or Iphone, and the Pioneer Receiver's and Apple TV's. For example, one of the AVR's and one apple TV is plugged in directly to the back of a AP in the bedroom. As long as I am in the bedroom and connected to that AP, I can airplay and see those devices from my Iphone or wireless notebook. However, if I move to the family room, the bedroom devices disappear , and I can now only see the family room devices. This is a problem because there are a few areas where there is AP overlap, and it loses connection to the device I am currently air-playing to.

The strange thing is that I can see all of the TV's and many other devices when connected to ANY AP, it doesn't matter where I am at, I can always see them on the network. It only seems to be the AVR's and Apple TV's that follow their respective AP area.

I used a network trace ap, and it acts the same way. If I am in the bedroom, none of the other Apple TV's or AVR's show up in the trace. If I move to the family room, that AVR shows up, and the bedroom AVR previously displayed disappears.

I guess I don't understand how multiple AP's work together, and figured that they would connect all devices on the network. I am not new to networking a home, but definitely NOT a pro by any means, lol, I understand the basics. I have asked my brother to troubleshoot it, but has been too busy at work to come take a look.

If anyone has ideas on how to fix this, or maybe to tell me I am SOL, I would appreciate it! Im not opposed to upgrading AP equip if that is what is necessary, but of course a free fix would be a whole lot better!
